MU 2-1 Everton: The goalkeeper is in high spirits

Di Maria scored and assisted in MU's 2-1 win over Everton. However, the Red Devils' victory was also thanks to De Gea's many saves, including a penalty save.

Van Gaal made two changes from the win over West Ham. Mata replaced the suspended Rooney and Valencia came in for the injured Herrera.

This was the match in which Van Persie was suspended as captain by his compatriot while Fellaini sat on the bench in the match against his old team.

MU was the better team in the early stages of the first half. If they had been more sensitive and luckier, the home team would have opened the scoring early after shots from Falcao and Van Persie in the opponent's penalty area.

The score was opened in the 27th minute after Di Maria's shot in the penalty area. In the last minute of injury time of the first half, Shaw's mistake caused MU to be awarded a penalty. But De Gea made an excellent save from Baines' free kick from 11 meters away.

In the second half, Baines made amends with a pass for Naismith to head in from close range. However, not long after, Falcao made a clever move after Di Maria's "half-pass, half-shot" to help MU regain the lead.

In the final minutes of the match, under pressure from Everton, De Gea made two excellent saves, helping the Red Devils retain two points for the home team at Old Trafford.
