Bamboo season in Ky Son

(Baonghean.vn) -In early spring, when the bamboo trees in the forest begin to bloom, people in the remote Ky Son district have an additional source of income to "support" the lean season.

These days, people from Chieu Luu, Huu Kiem, Bao Nam, Bao Thang, Huu Lap, Ta Ca, Pha Danh, Bac Ly communes... often go into the forest to collect flowers to sell to people in villages along National Highway 7A. These people often ride motorbikes to remote villages to buy fresh flowers. These flowers are dried and then shipped to traders in lowland districts, even in other provinces such as Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong to weave brooms.
