Heavy rain causes flooding on National Highway 1A

(Baonghean.vn) -Due to the impact of storm No. 10, last night and the morning of October 1, heavy rain fell in Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai town, causing flooding on National Highway 1A, making traffic difficult.

Accordingly, on National Highway 1A, from Quynh Thach Commune, Quynh Luu District to Quynh Thien Ward, Hoang Mai Town, about 15 km, many motorbikes stalled due to high water. Many vehicles had to slow down or even stop, causing traffic jams.

National Highway 1A was flooded, causing traffic obstruction on National Highway 1A through Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai Town.

Faced with that reality, the Cau Giat Road Traffic Management Department is actively coordinating with the traffic police force of Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town to go to the scene to urgently regulate traffic, and at the same time open drainage culverts on the national highway to facilitate traffic. According to information from the Cau Giat Road Traffic Management Department, on the evening of September 30, the National Highway 1A section through Quynh Van commune was flooded nearly 1 meter high, this morning it had decreased to only about 40cm. Some localities in Hoang Mai town suffered localized power outages, causing difficulties for people in their daily lives./.
