(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of June 23 and early morning of June 24, due to prolonged heavy rain, some localities in Hoang Mai town were seriously flooded, many crop areas and some traffic routes were flooded and blocked.

Rice fields in Quynh Thien ward, Quynh Di ward, Quynh Xuan ward, and Quynh Trang commune are also flooded.

Quynh Vinh commune (Hoang Mai town) suffered the most serious flooding, 206 hectares of rice were flooded, many rice fields were submerged in water, in many places the water was nearly 1 meter deep.

Mr. Vu Le Hung - Chairman of Quynh Vinh commune said: "We have mobilized excavators and militia to dig canals to drain the water. Currently, we have saved 100 hectares of water, the remaining 100 hectares are submerged in water."
