During the humid season, dehumidifiers are in high demand in Nghe An.
In late spring, Nghe An experiences periods of high humidity, making daily life inconvenient. Many people are looking to buy dehumidifiers, leading to increased demand…

For about the past two weeks, the weather has been continuously rainy with high humidity, causing damp floors, condensing brick walls, and clothes taking a week to dry even after washing and drying, creating inconvenience for many people. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Huong said: "Even though we regularly wipe the floor with a cloth, keep the doors closed, and even turn on the air conditioner, the house still 'sweats,' and the floor is slippery, which is very inconvenient."
The drizzling rains and humid weather have only just begun and are expected to last until April. High humidity levels above 90% not only cause dampness and inconvenience in daily life but also create conditions for mold and bacteria to thrive, potentially leading to various health problems. Therefore, at this time, many families are choosing to purchase products such as clothes dryers, dehumidifiers, clothes dryers, and air purifiers to ensure the health of their entire family.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Thai's family (Hung Loc ward, Vinh City) includes elderly people and young children – groups sensitive to weather changes. “During the prolonged period of drizzle and humidity from mid-February, my two children fell ill. After seeing the doctor, in addition to prescribing medication, the doctor recommended buying a dehumidifier with an air purifier to place in the house to reduce mold and bacteria that cause illness. Therefore, I invested in two dehumidifiers, one 60-liter and one 20-liter, placed in the living room and bedroom.”
To meet customer demand, many manufacturers have introduced superior product lines to the market, addressing the problem of high humidity. This year, the dehumidifier market continues to be dominated by several familiar brands, along with models originating from China, Japan, and Germany.

According to surveys, the price of dehumidifiers ranges from 3 to 15 million VND depending on capacity. The most common price range is around 3-7 million VND. Mid-range or higher-end models usually cost from 6-15 million VND with more features, such as voice command capabilities and connectivity to smart home controllers.

At electronics supermarkets, dehumidifiers and air purifiers are displayed in prominent locations, accompanied by promotional programs to stimulate sales, such as: product discounts, free household appliances, free shipping and installation, 0% interest installment plans with warranties up to 24 months, and a return/exchange policy in case of manufacturer defects…
Ms. Le Hong Anh, an employee at an electronics supermarket on Le Hong Phong Street (Vinh City), said: “In the past two weeks, the number of customers coming to buy dehumidifiers has increased significantly, and sales of this item have surged. Customers mainly choose dehumidifiers for living rooms and bedrooms. Besides that, customers buying dehumidifiers for computer rooms (printing companies, offices with many computers, etc.) or schools and hospitals have also placed quite a few orders.”

According to Ms. Hong Anh, dehumidifiers vary widely in type, origin, and price. Currently, users tend to look for dehumidifiers with high capacity suitable for typical apartment spaces and large water tanks. In particular, models with additional features such as air purification, ion-based disinfection and deodorization, and clothes drying are attracting more attention than in previous years.
Experts recommend that consumers buy dehumidifiers from reputable sources with warranties to avoid purchasing low-quality, unsafe products. When using a dehumidifier, it's advisable to leave it in standby mode to protect electronic devices such as televisions and computers.

Dehumidifiers should be placed about 30 cm away from the wall and the humidity set within a safe range of 40%-50% to ensure good health. In particular, people should avoid using appliances such as dryers, heaters, and dehumidifiers for extended periods continuously to prevent overloading, which can lead to overheating, fires, and explosions.
