In a gloomy atmosphere under heavy rain, hundreds of thousands of Singaporeans poured into the streets to bid farewell to the "founding father" Lee Kuan Yew when the national funeral was held today (March 29).
In an emotional eulogy, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said his father had “lived and breathed Singapore all his life”: “The light that guided us for decades has now gone out.”
