How is the 2015 minimum wage applied?
In 2015, the regional minimum wage was adjusted for subjects with increased changes.
According to the new regulations in Decree 103/2014/ND-CP, employees working at enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, farms, households, individuals and agencies and organizations that hire employees under labor contracts... will all receive an average increase in minimum wage of 250,000-400,000 VND/month, depending on the subject.
Specifically, the minimum wage of VND3,100,000/person/month applies to region I (including districts and some counties of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, and some urban areas of other localities), an increase of VND400,000/person/month compared to the level applied since 2014.

Minimum wages for regional workers have increased significantly since the beginning of 2015.
The salary of VND 2,750,000/person/month applies to Region II, including the remaining districts of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong and some cities, towns and districts with high average income per capita. This salary has increased by VND 350,000/person/month compared to 2014.
The salary level is 2,400,000 VND/person/month for region III, including the remaining provincial cities, except for the provincial cities mentioned in regions I, II and some towns and districts with relatively high average income per capita. This level increases by 300,000 VND/person/month compared to the level applied in the same period in 2014.
Workers in region IV, including the remaining localities, will receive a minimum wage of VND 2,150,000/person/month, an increase of VND 250,000/person/month compared to before.
In addition, some low-income groups, including pensioners, beneficiaries of preferential allowances for meritorious people and salaries for civil servants, public employees and armed forces with low incomes (salary coefficient from 2.34 or less) will also be adjusted to increase by 8% from January 1, 2015 according to Resolution 78/2014/QH13 on the 2015 state budget estimate of the National Assembly.
If you are a military officer (with the rank of lieutenant or higher), your salary will not be adjusted from January 1, 2015, because your salary coefficient is higher than 2.34. For professional soldiers and defense workers, if your salary coefficient is 2.34 or lower, your salary will be adjusted to increase.
As for domestic workers, the minimum wage will also be changed according to the regional minimum wage from January this year.
