Road usage fee collection at 9 BOT stations and transfer stations

According to Circular233/2012/TT-BTCof the Ministry of Finance regulating the collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of road usage fees at BOT (build-operate-transfer) toll stations and toll collection transfer stations, the fee for all types of cars is regulated from 10,000 - 80,000 VND/ticket/trip.

This Circular stipulates the collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of road use fees at toll stations transferring toll collection rights (including: toll station No. 2, Nam Cau Gie toll station, Hoang Mai toll station and Ban Thach toll station on National Highway 1) and toll stations supporting BOT capital recovery (including: 02 toll stations on National Highway 5, Tien Cuu toll station on National Highway 10, Pha Lai toll station on National Highway 18 and Ninh An toll station on National Highway 1).

For vehicles with less than 12 seats, trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons and public passenger buses, the fee is 10,000 VND/ticket/trip, 300,000 VND/ticket/month; 800,000 VND/ticket/quarter.

The highest fee applied to trucks with a load capacity of 18 tons or more and trucks carrying goods in 40-foot containers is 80,000 VND/ticket/trip, 2,400,000 VND/ticket/month; 6,500,000 VND/ticket/quarter.

The Ministry of Finance stated that the above toll rates do not include value added tax, except for the rate applied at Ninh An toll station which includes value added tax.

Circular 233 takes effect from January 1, 2013.
