US warns countries intending to buy Russia's S-400
US State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert has warned Iraq and other countries of possible consequences over Baghdad's potential purchase of Moscow's S-400 air defense missile system.

Ms. Nauert said the US is talking to countries around the world, including Iraq, about "possible responses" to the purchase of Russian weapons.
"We have made it clear to many of the countries we work with," said a US State Department representative.
Ms. Nauert previously stated that, according to Washington's assessment, sanctions against Russia will lead to the loss of about $3 billion for the Russian defense industry.
The head of the Russian Federation Council's Defense and Security Committee, Viktor Bondarev, commented that the US State Department presented imaginary numbers.
Earlier, the head of the Defense and Security Committee of the Russian Federation Council said that Syria, Iraq, Sudan and Egypt are potential candidates to buy S-400.
