US announces identity of perpetrator of bloody shooting in Oregon
According to AFP/CNN, on October 2, US media reported that US officials had identified the perpetrator who carried out the bloody shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, in the Northwest of the US.

Media outlets - including CNN, CBS and NBC - said the shooter was 26-year-old Chris Harper Mercer.
Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin said 10 people were killed, including the shooter, and seven others were injured.
Investigators have been in contact with Mercer's family and friends and closely monitoring his social media posts for clues, media reports said.
Press reports also said Mercer was not a student at Umpqua Community College./.
