US proposes North Korea transfer 50% of nuclear warheads to UK
(Baonghean.vn) - The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) cited a diplomatic source as saying that during a recent visit by a US State Department official to South Korea, Washington proposed that North Korea transport 50% of Pyongyang's nuclear warheads to the UK.

SIPRI estimates that North Korea currently possesses up to 20 nuclear warheads. The US government has reportedly proposed that Pyongyang receive assistance from the UK in the process of dismantling the nuclear warheads.
Britain remains a nuclear power, but its nuclear arsenal has been halved since the late 1970s during the height of Cold War tensions.
Therefore, Britain is considered a country with experience in destroying nuclear weapons.
