US calls Russian super submarine 'arch enemy'
The nuclear submarine Kazan of the Yasen-M project, launched by Russia at the end of March, will truly be a "storm" for the US Navy.

This is the opinion of military analyst Dave Majumdar on The NationalInterest.
According to expert Dave Majumdar, an opponent like Kazan, when entering the war, would put the US Navy in a completely passive position.
“Once this submarine enters service, it will become the most dangerous enemy the US Navy fleet has ever faced,” expert Dave Majumdar analyzed.
Sharing the same opinion with Dave Majumdar, expert Michael Kofman of the Center for Naval Analyses admitted: "Clearly, this is the most promising nuclear submarine among the submarines of the Russian Yasen-M project."
Kazan differs significantly from its predecessors in nuclear submarines. Among the most notable features of the vessel are the Irtysh-Amphora sonar system with a general-purpose spherical antenna located in the bow section, as well as eight vertical launchers in the midsection of the vessel for 32 Caliber and Onyx cruise missiles.
Two military analysts believe that Russia's new submarine will be used primarily to "hunt US strategic nuclear submarines."
“There is no doubt that the Russians have the skills to build submarines with extremely destructive capabilities,” said expert Dave Majumdar: Kazan is truly a “mortal enemy” of the US Navy.
