US does not allow Ukraine to attack important Russian airports
The Washington Post quoted a source as saying that the US did not allow Ukraine to use US weapons to attack important Russian airports.

According to RIA Novosti on June 22, the Washington Post quoted a source saying that the US maintains its restrictions on Ukraine on the range of attacks on Russian territory with US weapons, including not allowing Kiev to attack Russia's most important airports.
Previously, US President Joe Biden allowed Ukraine to use US weapons to counterattack targets in Russia that threatened the Kharkov region, but maintained the ban on the use of ATACMS tactical-operational missiles and other long-range firepower weapons.
“The new US policy allowing Ukraine to fire on Russian territory with some US weapons has reduced the number of Russian attacks, but still limits the range to the point where Ukraine cannot attack key airfields. These airfields are used by Russian aircraft to drop guided bombs in the air, causing the most damage to Ukrainian military positions,” the Washington Post quoted two Ukrainian officials.
The two officials added that the US limited the strikes to within 100 km of the border.
Meanwhile, US officials refused to specify the scope of the restrictions, saying that the claims of sources in Kiev were inaccurate.
On June 21, the Pentagon reported that Ukraine had been allowed to use US-supplied weapons to attack Russian forces firing on Ukrainian soldiers anywhere across the border, not just Russian territory near the Kharkiv region.
Responding to the statements and moves from the US, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in late May that NATO countries should know “what game they are playing” by allowing Kiev to attack “legitimate targets” deep inside Russian territory with Western missile systems transferred to Ukrainian forces.
