America: Another serious shooting in a movie theater

A gunman was shot dead after carrying out a shooting at a movie theater near Nashville, Tennessee, police said on August 5.
According to AFP, the number of casualties in the incident is not yet clear, but images shown on local television channels show that authorities have mobilized a large force to respond to the incident.
“Incident occurred at Hickory 8 Cinema, suspect is dead,” the Nashville Police Department said on Twitter, referring to the cinema in Antioch, 12 miles (19 kilometers) from Nashville.
The suspect was believed to have a gun and an ax, according to a local Tennessee newspaper, citing Nashville police. Authorities are also examining two backpacks he was carrying, one strapped to his body and one left behind the theater.
The shooting occurred during a screening of the movie “Mad Max” and police stormed the screening room before the suspect turned the gun on a police officer.
The incident comes less than two weeks after a gunman opened fire at a movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana, killing two women and injuring nine others before committing suicide./.
