US: "Super bacteria" resistant to antibiotics discovered

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, here's a 49-year-old female patient from Pennsylvania who had a urinary tract infection.
According to a report published in the journal Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, a "super bacteria" was discovered that was itself infected with a plasmid - a small piece of DNA carried by a gene called mcr-1, which is resistant to antibiotics.
"This means that there is a form of bacteria that is truly resistant to all drugs," - the study said.
