The Ukrinform news agency quoted Kurt Volker as saying: The US is ready to improve Ukraine's defense capabilities. "We are ready to sit down and discuss with Ukraine what is needed. They can buy certain things," the US State Department's special envoy for Ukraine said.
In 2018, Ukraine received lethal weapons and other military equipment worth more than $40 million from the United States, Lithuania, the United Kingdom and Canada.
Meanwhile, many Russian and European politicians have repeatedly warned that supplying weapons to Kiev could lead to an escalation of the conflict in the Donbass region.
