US will launch nuclear attack if Russia “invades” Eastern Europe
The former Polish Army Commander said that the possibility of a US nuclear strike in response to a hypothetical attack from Russia is entirely possible, while also arguing that NATO's presence in Eastern Europe is not enough.
General Waldemar Skrzypczak, former Commander of the Polish Army, expressed his consensus on the "Russian threat" that the US and the West always mention. In an interview with the Wirtualna Polska newspaper, he said that Poland will become a "wall" to prevent invasion from the East.

This is seen as a potential clash between NATO and Russia, and this is why the alliance is seen as Poland “is an extremely important country, with a strategic position,” according to the retired general.
Russia is currently the “greatest concern of the free world,” and no European military wants to go to war with Russia. That said, there is only one thing that needs to be eliminated to prevent this potential danger.
“It was right for the United States to launch a nuclear war to stop the Red Army in Poland,” Skrzypczak said, in a clear reference to the Cold War. Although the consequences were considered “unacceptable” for Poland, “no one asked for your opinion,” the former general said. The worst thing for Poland, he said, was the isolation that resulted from political mistakes.
For many years, Poland had no major foreign military presence, except for NATO forces that maintained a presence there. NATO has deployed large numbers of ground and air forces from the United States, Britain, Germany and other countries to Poland and the Baltic states, building a large and sophisticated military infrastructure there.
