US increases Russian oil imports to 100 thousand barrels per day
The US forced Europe to impose sanctions on Russia but continued to import oil from Russia and even increased demand for "black gold" by 43% last week, to 100,000 barrels per day.
Deputy Secretary of the Russian Federation National Security Council Mikhail Popov said on April 3 that the US increased its oil imports from Russia by 43% last week, to 100,000 barrels per day.
In an interview with Komsomol newspaper, Mr. Popov said that the US forced Europe to impose sanctions on Russia but continued to import oil from Russia and even increased demand for "black gold" by 43% last week, to 100,000 barrels per day.

Mr. Popov also said that Washington has allowed US companies to import chemical fertilizers from Russia, recognizing it as an essential commodity.
Meanwhile, the White House does not want European countries to implement a similar policy. Russian officials believe that there will be many other "unexpected" developments from the US side.
Russia could earn $321 billion from selling oil and gas products in 2022, Bloomberg estimates.
