US sanctions 38 more Russian individuals and organizations
The Trump administration has imposed additional sanctions on several Russian billionaires and government officials over Moscow's global activities.

The US Treasury Department today issued sanctions against seven Russian oligarchs and 17 Russian government officials for "malign activity" around the world,APtoday news
The new sanctions list also includes 12 companies controlled by the oligarchs, a Russian state-owned arms dealer and a bank.Bank PresidentGazprombank and the head of Russia's National Guard are also among the individuals sanctioned,pigTelegraph.
Senior US officials said Washington's sanctions this time are not aimed at any specific activities of Moscow, but at Russia's confrontational actions in Crimea and eastern Ukraine, with the Kremlin's support for Syrian President.Bashar Assad, cyber attacks, sabotage of the West andpoisoning of former Russian spySergei Skripalin England.
US Secretary of the TreasurySteve Manuchinsaid Russian oligarchs and those who benefit from the "corrupt system" would no longer escape the consequences of the "destabilizing activities of the Russian government".
Also on the sanctions list is Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who is believed to have had links to Paul Manafort, President Trump's former campaign manager in 2016.
Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Senate Konstantin Kosachev criticized the US move as "baseless, hostile and senseless".
