On the same day, Vice Chairman of China's Central Military Commission Fan Changlong warned that there should be no more deadly stray bullet incidents on the border with Myanmar, otherwise the Chinese military would take "resolute and tough action" to protect people's safety.
The statement was made during a phone call with Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Defense Forces, after a bomb dropped from a Myanmar fighter jet killed four Chinese people in Yunnan province.
In addition, Mr. Pham Truong Long also called on Myanmar to conduct a serious investigation into the incident and urged the country to severely punish the perpetrators, as well as apologize and compensate the victims' families./.
