In 2011, VOV Traffic will cover the whole country.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Huan, Deputy Director of VOV Traffic channel(under the Voice of Vietnam Radio), on March 4, said that in 2011, this channel will cover the entire length of the country.
Accordingly, this channel will broadcast from Lang Son to Ca Mau Cape. In the first phase, it will be deployed along National Highway 1 with 11 broadcasting stations.
Mr. Huan also said that in addition to serving domestic and international political, economic and social information, this channel will collect and reflect information that is happening locally. Especially information about floods and sudden developments along National Highway 1.

Currently, VOV Giao thong has completed the content preparation as well as the installation location of nearly 2,000 cameras at key locations on National Highway 1... However, this channel has not yet determined the broadcasting time because of some minor technical errors. However, this channel will certainly be broadcast to serve listeners in 2011.
This project has a total investment of up to 500 billion VND.
Regarding VOV Traffic (mainly serving Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Pham Trung Tuyen, Head of the Secretariat of this channel, said that in addition to traffic information, VOV Traffic also focuses on bringing the latest information to listeners.
“Our reporters are on the road from 6am to 11pm to work. When we receive hot information, we will verify it and send reporters to the scene immediately,” said Mr. Tuyen.
Currently, VOV Traffic also opens sections such as News Road to review daily newspapers (at 11pm) and early news (7am) to help traffic participants when going to work to immediately find the newspaper with information of interest.
According to Mr. Tuyen, in April, VOV Giao thong will continue to open the "Happy Road" column to provide detailed travel information and instructions to listeners.
