In Decision No. 2285/QD-TTg dated November 26, 2020, the Prime Minister approved the total number of civil servants receiving salaries from the State budget nationwide in 2014 as 281,714 people.
Accordingly, the total number of civil servants receiving salaries from the State budget in 2014 of state administrative agencies, organizations and representative agencies of Vietnam abroad (excluding civil servants of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, civil servants in public service units and civil servants at the commune level) is 281,714 people. Specifically:
The number of civil servants in State administrative agencies and organizations is 275,107 people, of which the number of civil servants in administrative agencies and organizations under ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, organizations established by the Government and the Prime Minister that are not public service units is 111,675 people; the number of civil servants in People's Councils and People's Committees at provincial and district levels is 162,372 people; the number of civil servants in Vietnamese representative agencies abroad is 1,078 people.
The number of reserve civil servants is 6,607 people.
The total staff of special-purpose Associations operating nationwide is 686 people./.
