(Baonghean.vn) - On January 8, Nghe An Tax Department held a conference to summarize tax work in 2014 and deploy tasks in 2015. Attending were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrade Tran Van Phu - Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation.

In 2014, with the attention and leadership of Party committees at all levels, the Ministry of Finance, and the General Department of Taxation, tax management at the Nghe An Tax Department was well implemented. In 2014, the Nghe An Tax Department exceeded the plan with total domestic revenue of Nghe An reaching 7,662 billion VND, of which domestic revenue calculated in balance reached 6,605 billion VND, equal to 120% of the ordinance estimate, 113% of the People's Council estimate, equal to 116% compared to the same period. Domestic revenue calculated in balance minus land use fees reached 5,776 billion VND, equal to 114% of the ordinance estimate and 111% of the People's Council estimate.

According to the tax decree, 11/13 revenue items have met or exceeded the plan. The Department Office and most of the Sub-Departments have completed the annual plan.

In 2014, Nghe An Tax Department actively advised the Provincial People's Committee in directing and operating relevant departments and branches to coordinate with tax authorities in tax management, debt management and tax debt enforcement; Rectifying and handling many problems in land rent management such as land rent for farms, forestry farms, stations, and youth volunteer teams; Speeding up the issuance of unit prices for calculating land rent for enterprises, exempting and reducing land rent for enterprises, guiding the implementation of extension and reduction of some revenue items. Resolutely implementing many measures to promote tax administrative procedure reform. Strictly implementing the reduction of tax administrative procedures and minimizing the time to resolve issues related to taxpayers; not arbitrarily setting up any procedures that are not in the regulations, causing difficulties for taxpayers in production and business and implementing tax policies. Maintaining online declaration submission and guiding taxpayers to register and pay taxes electronically. Nghe An Tax Department is the leading unit in the country in terms of electronic tax payment rate.

Also in 2014, Nghe An Tax Department issued 56,745 new tax codes. The total number of taxpayers who submitted tax declarations was 83,177, equal to 98% of the number of dossiers to be submitted and equal to 94% compared to 2013. In 2014, the industry processed 1,118 tax refund dossiers, with the amount of tax refunded being nearly 1,098 billion VND.

Entering the 2015 task, Nghe An Tax Department strives to collect 8-10% more than the legal target of 6,880 billion VND (excluding land use fees). At the conference, tax branches discussed good tax management solutions, lessons learned, and 16 groups of solutions proposed by the Tax Department to complete the 2014 task.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed the delegates attending the conference about the achievements of Nghe An. He praised the achievements of Nghe An Tax sector in 2014, agreed with the solutions to implement the 2015 budget collection task proposed by the Tax Department, and encouraged the collective of officers and employees in the sector to promote their intelligence, creativity, and efforts in revenue management to exceed the 2015 budget collection plan.
