In 2015, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism advised on organizing cultural, sports, tourism and family activities with practical results. State management and administrative reform continued to be focused on. Cultural and artistic activities gradually met the people's enjoyment needs. The work of preserving and promoting cultural heritage achieved new progress. In addition, the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life and the whole people exercising following the example of great Uncle Ho continued to be directed and had new qualitative developments. At the same time, the training and fostering of cultural, sports, tourism and family cadres at the grassroots level was strengthened.

However, there are still shortcomings and limitations in the cultural and family fields such as the funding source for preventing the degradation of relics is still limited compared to the demand; management and organization of service activities at relics, scenic spots, and festivals still have many violations; preferential policies to attract artists and highly qualified professionals to work in the province are still limited; socialization of cultural and sports activities still faces many difficulties...
Recognizing the difficulties and challenges, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism set the task by 2016 to continue strengthening state management in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and family; striving for the rate of cultural families to reach 83%, the rate of sports families to reach 22%, the total number of tourists to reach 5.3 million, with revenue of 2,900 billion VND.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts and results of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, contributing significantly to the overall development of the province. He emphasized that 2016 is the first year of implementing the socio-economic targets for the 5-year period 2016 - 2020, the first step for the successful implementation of the targets of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the 18th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress. Therefore, the tasks set for the cultural sector are very heavy. To successfully complete the tasks, the sector needs to be proactive, sensitive, continue to overcome difficulties, create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, and develop the sector's activities in line with the socio-economic sectors of the province.
