In 2021, the entire Tax sector strives to exceed the assigned budget estimate by 3-5%.

The conference was chaired at the Hanoi bridge by comrades: Truong Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government; Dinh Tien Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Finance; leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation and representatives of Tax Departments of 63 provinces and cities.

In 2020, despite being implemented in a context of many socio-economic difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic,Tax industryThere have been many proactive and creative solutions to effectively carry out budget tasks. Along with taking advantage of the directions of the Government and ministries, the Tax sector has actively and proactively implemented its tasks right from the beginning of the year.

Along with disseminating new tax policies and solutions to support businesses in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Tax sector has reviewed and cut many tax administrative procedures, increased electronic tax declaration, collection and refund; actively reviewed and urged the collection of tax arrears; classified, handled debt rescheduling and debt cancellation for businesses facing difficulties, etc.

Thanks to that, by the end of 2020, the entire Tax sector collected VND 1,278,649 billion, equal to 102% of the estimate and exceeding VND 175,849 billion compared to the report to the National Assembly; 55/63 provinces and cities completed and estimated to exceed the estimate, of which, some localities exceeded the estimate by more than 10%; 8 localities have not completed the estimate, 41/63 localities have revenue growth compared to the same period last year.

In Nghe An, although the task was implemented in the context of some large enterprises facing production difficulties and declining revenue leading to tax reduction, the Tax Department has had a number of positive solutions. As a result, by December 31, 2020, the total provincial budget revenue was estimated at VND 17,128 billion, of which domestic tax revenue was over VND 16,000 billion and it was one of 23 provinces with tax revenue increasing by 10% compared to the estimate and one of 30 provinces with revenue growth.

Speaking at the conference, representativeNghe An Tax DepartmentThematic report "On the implementation of debt management tasks and application of information technology in 2020". Accordingly, based on the outstanding debt from the end of the year, the industry has reviewed and actively implemented debt management measures and organized tax debt enforcement. As a result, by December 31, 2020, the total tax debt in the province was only 785 billion VND, a decrease of 236 billion VND compared to the same period, of which, recoverable debt was 503 billion VND, difficult-to-collect debt was 227 billion VND, and late payment was 187 billion VND.

At the conference, on behalf of the Government,Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binhacknowledging the efforts of the entire Tax sector in 2020. On the basis of emphasizing the requirements and tasks of the Tax sector in 2021 and some difficulties and challenges in the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation and localities to frankly and objectively assess the requirements and tasks in the new period to have more drastic, effective and breakthrough implementation solutions.
