(Baonghean.vn) - The Russian Foreign Ministry summarized the country's diplomatic work in many regions, noting the growing influence of the Russian Federation in the world, successes in cooperation with allies in associations, integration and Moscow's efforts in opposing the West.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the country has increased the quality of its efforts to develop relations with neighboring countries, countries in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
“Multilateral and high-level events through the United Nations, BRICS, G20, APEC forum and the East Asia Summit mechanism have confirmed the broad interest of this group of countries in pursuing an independent foreign policy and their readiness to take into account Russia's interests,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that Russia has significantly strengthened its position in the Middle East. “Relations with the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, primarily with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, have acquired a new quality, including the issue of stabilizing the global oil market through OPEC+,” the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that in its relations with unfriendly countries, Russia pursues a principled approach aimed at creating conditions for them to abandon hostile policies. "To this end, Russia has been taking measures to expose the concept of 'rules-based order' promoted by the United States and the European Union (EU). Within the framework of the United Nations, the OSCE and other multilateral associations, Russia supports the peaceful development of all states based on the principles of sovereign equality and indivisible security. Plans to isolate Russia in the international arena have been thwarted," the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reiterated that due to the openly anti-Russian policy and the inability of the United States to negotiate, the continued expansion of NATO and the EU to the East and the creation of new threats to Russia's security, the Treaty on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms has been suspended and participation in the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces has been terminated. In Europe, ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty has been revoked.
“Due to the lack of progress in implementing the memorandum between Russia and the United Nations on normalization of Russian agricultural and fertilizer exports, Ukraine's participation in the Black Sea Initiative on food exports has been suspended,” the Russian Foreign Ministry concluded.
