8X man sneaked into gas station at midnight to steal iPhone 6
(Baonghean.vn) - At midnight, Thanh went to Nam Cam gas station (Nghi Loc, Nghe An) to fill up his gas tank. Seeing an iPhone 6 Plus charging, the sales staff didn't pay attention, Thanh sneaked in, took the phone and ran away.
On January 8, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency said: the unit is temporarily detaining Tran Van Thanh (born in 1988), residing in Hamlet 8, Nghi Phuong Commune, Nghi Loc District to investigate and clarify the subject's act of property theft.
Previously, on the morning of January 4, Nghi Loc District Police received a report from Mr. Nguyen Ba Phu (born in 1993), residing in Block 3, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City, a salesman at Nam Cam gas station, in Bac Son 2 hamlet, Nghi Quang commune.
The report stated: At 11pm on January 3, while Mr. Phu was sleeping in the office of Nam Cam gas station, a young man around 30 years old woke him up to fill up his tank.

At that time, Mr. Phu’s black iPhone 6 Plus worth 10 million VND was charging on the chair. After filling up the gas tank for the customer, Mr. Phu went back to sleep. When he woke up in the morning, he discovered that his iPhone 6 was missing.
Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal - Economic - Drug Crimes quickly dispatched forces to coordinate with Task Force No. 3 of Nghi Loc District Police stationed in Nam Cam to check the movements of the subjects in the area around the Nam Cam gas station on the night of January 3.
Through investigation and professional skills, at noon on January 4, detectives identified Tran Van Thanh in Hamlet 8, Nghi Phuong Commune as the suspect in the theft of Mr. Phu's iPhone 6 Plus at Nam Cam gas station on the night of January 3.
Nghi Loc District Police coordinated with Nghi Phuong Commune Police to mobilize maximum forces to search for Tran Van Thanh and at 1:30 p.m. the same day, the authorities arrested the subject.
At the investigation agency, Thanh confessed to stealing Mr. Phu's iPhone 6 Plus as stated above.
It is known that previously, on January 15, 2017, Tran Van Thanh was administratively fined by Nghi Loc District Police for stealing 2 phones.
Currently, the case is being further investigated by the authorities.
