Prosecution of the subject who stole the phone at the Northwest Regional General Hospital of Nghe An
Taking advantage of the negligence of the patient and the patient's family, Truong Xuan Thao sneaked into the hospital to steal a phone.
The Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province has just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a temporary detention order against Truong Xuan Thao (born in 1992), residing in Nghia An Commune, Nghia Dan District, for the crime of theft of property. This is the subject who sneaked into the patient rooms at the Northwest Nghe An Regional General Hospital (located in Thai Hoa Town) to steal phones.

Previously, on March 1, 2025, Nghia Tien Commune Police (Thai Hoa Town) received a report from Nghe An Northwest Regional General Hospital that many patients and their relatives being treated there had 4 mobile phones worth more than 8 million VND stolen by thieves.

After receiving the report, through the hospital's surveillance camera images, Nghia Tien Commune Police identified Truong Xuan Thao as the perpetrator of the above thefts.
Accordingly, taking advantage of the loophole, Truong Xuan Thao put on a patient's coat and sneaked into the rooms to steal phones. At the police station, Thao admitted his actions.

In particular, Truong Xuan Thao is also a drug addict and was sentenced to 15 months in prison by the People's Court of Nghia Dan district for illegal possession of drugs.
Currently, the case is under further investigation and clarification.
