Nam Dan: Successfully breaking the 413M case
(Baonghean.vn) -Nam Dan District Police Department has just announced: The unit has successfully broken up Project 413M on illegal drug trafficking, arresting 2 subjects while illegally trading drugs.
Through information from the grassroots, recently there have been a number of individuals who have illegally traded drugs to drug addicts in the area, causing disorder in social order and causing resentment among the people. Therefore, on April 15, 2013, Nam Dan District Police established Project 413M under the direct command of Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Hai, Deputy Chief of District Police, Commander of the Drug Crime Investigation Team, and assigned Comrade Le Hai Quang, Captain of the Drug Crime Investigation Team, to be the team leader to investigate and solve the case.
The subjects are heavily addicted to drugs, with many previous convictions for drug trafficking, so they are very reckless and impulsive. They are ready to fight back and deal with the intervention of the investigation agency. The form of buying and selling is often done over the phone, making it difficult to investigate and solve the case. Taking advantage of long-distance driving, the subjects often transport drugs to sell to addicts in the area.
Faced with that situation, the Task Force held a meeting to assess the situation, conduct an investigation, verify information, and build up suspects. The reconnaissance force was stationed at points 24/7, monitoring and catching suspects red-handed while they were buying and selling drugs. Accordingly, at 8:00 a.m. on April 17, 2013, the Drug Crime Investigation Team of Nam Dan District Police caught Nguyen Trong Binh (born in 1977), residing in Hamlet 12, Xuan Hoa, Nam Dan, while he was buying and selling drugs to Vo Van T (Nam Dan Town). Here, the police force seized 0.04 grams of heroin. Through an emergency search of Binh's house, they seized an additional 1.01 grams of heroin, 1 mobile phone and 400,000 VND, the amount of money Binh sold drugs to T.
Dang Thi My and Nguyen Trong Binh
Through further investigation of the case, at 12 noon the same day, the Nam Dan District Police discovered the subject Dang Thi My (born in 1973), residing in Block Trung My, Le Mao Ward, Vinh City, when she was dividing drugs to sell to addicts in Hamlet 5, Nam Phuc Commune - her hometown. Seeing the unexpected incident, My quickly grabbed the drugs and swallowed them in order to hinder the investigation force. But before she could dispose of the evidence, she was handcuffed by the police force and taken to the headquarters to be prosecuted. Right at the scene, the police seized 50 packages weighing 11.9 grams of heroin, 1 electronic scale, 1 mobile phone, 1 razor blade, and 300,000 VND.

Electronic scales used to weigh drugs
At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed their actions. Binh used to be a long-distance driver, a heavy drug addict who had once been taken to a rehabilitation center. But the "brown fairy" kept haunting Binh, making it difficult to give up. And to have money to buy drugs, Binh bought and then resold them to drug addicts after those long-distance driving trips. Binh had a connection with Dang Thi My through phone transactions.
As for Dang Thi My, she has an incredible history of drug trafficking. 5 previous convictions for illegal drug trafficking have not made her wake up. At 40 years old, My has no husband, no stable place to live, but with the trick of taking advantage of pregnancy and raising young children to avoid punishment, she still has 4 young children. Currently, Dang Thi My is having her 25-year prison sentence suspended. For that reason, she continues to buy and sell drugs to addicts. And right in her hometown, she was arrested by the police.
Currently, Nam Dan District Police are completing the case file and prosecuting the accused for illegal drug trafficking. The case is under further investigation and expansion.
