Nam Dan: Visiting and giving gifts to policy families
(Baonghean.vn) – On July 21, the Nam Dan District Military Command visited and presented gifts to a number of policy families and meritorious people in the area. Also attending were the Policy Department and the Provincial Military Command.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Pham Thi Tam (86 years old) in Hamlet 5, Nam Tan Commune, whose two children are martyr Nguyen Van Minh, who died in 1972 in Quang Tri, and martyr Nguyen Quang Trung, who died fighting in Gia Lai.

The delegation came to burn incense to pay respect to the martyrs - Major Pham Duc Luc and Major Le Cong Duong (Reunification Team, Provincial Military Command). Both martyrs sacrificed their lives at Eo Gio slope, from Muong Om village (Bo Li Kham Xay) to Khet Phi Xet (Xieng Khouang - Laos) on April 21, 2004 while on duty.
On the same day, the delegation came to burn incense and pay their respects to Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Han, 98 years old (with 2 children who are martyrs) in Mau 2 hamlet (Kim Lien) and gave gifts to Han's relatives.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command presented each deceased Heroic Mother 1.2 million VND, families of war invalids and Heroic Mothers 1 million VND, and the Nam Dan District Military Command presented 200,000 VND/gift.
