South Africa: 18 hungry lions block car, butcher prey in the middle of the road

Drivers from South Africa captured an unusual video: a pride of lions blocked a stretch of road in the country's northeast and over the course of several hours, they butchered a killed buffalo.

According to the Daily Mail, the incident occurred in Kruger National Park in Limpopo province. According to many witnesses, a pride of 18 hungry lions began tearing at the hot flesh of the large hoofed animal right on the highway, leading to serious traffic jams.

Witnesses said the lions' feast lasted for hours, with the wild animals not even paying any attention to curious onlookers who decided to get out of their cars to witness the rare sight.
