At least 15 people were killed on August 17 when a minibus flew off a bridge, fell onto railway tracks and crashed into a moving train.

According to AFP, the accident occurred near Shaka's Head, an area near the port city of Durban, eastern South Africa.

According to IPSS health agency spokesman Paul Herbst, the minibus was carrying 20 people. All passengers on the bus were either killed or injured. “We found 15 bodies, one person is in critical condition and four others are seriously injured,” Herbst said.

Mr Herbst said body parts of many passengers were still trapped in the wreckage.

Authorities said they are investigating the cause of the accident.
