11th grade male student of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted won the bronze medal at the Asian Physics Olympiad
The Asian Physics Olympiad was recently held in Malaysia with the participation of more than 200 contestants. The Vietnamese student delegation had 8 members participating in this competition and all 8 students won prizes.
The closing ceremony and award ceremony were held on the afternoon of June 9 in Malaysia. This is the first Asian Physics Olympiad organized by Malaysia with the largest number of participating teams ever, with 28 teams from 27 countries and territories and 208 contestants.

This year's exam will be held from June 3 to 10, 2024. Candidates will take part in 2 days of exams with a duration of 5 hours/day. Participating in this exam, all 8/8 members of the Vietnamese team won prizes, including 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 6 Bronze Medals. This is considered an outstanding result of the Vietnamese team compared to previous years.
The male student who brought home the only Gold Medal for the Vietnamese Team was Than The Cong, a 12th grade student at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, Bac Giang province;

Ha Duyen Phuc, a 12th grade student at Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa Province, won the Silver Medal.
In the list of 6 students who won Bronze Medals, there is Nguyen The Quan, an 11th grade student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. He is also the only student from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted to be included in the official Vietnamese team to participate in regional and international Olympic competitions in 2024.

Nguyen The Quan is currently a student in class 11A3 - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. Last school year, he won first prize in the National Physics Competition for Excellent Students. He is also one of five students in grade 11 selected for the national team to participate in the International and Regional Olympic Competitions this year, and is the only member of the Physics Team currently in grade 11./.
