(Baonghean.vn) - The subjects bought "goods" from the Northern provinces and Laos including deer, antelope, roe deer, bear paws... and transported them to Nghe An to sell for profit.

On the morning of August 22, at Yen Ly intersection, Dien Yen commune (Dien Chau), the working group of Nghe An Environmental Police Department coordinated with Dien Chau District Police to arrest Phan Van Thanh (born 1993), residing in Thai Hoa town, for illegal wildlife trading.

The seized evidence included 88 kg of animals including: mountain goat, deer, and bamboo rat. At the investigation agency, the subject confessed that he "sold the goods" in Son La province and then brought them to Nghe An to sell for profit.

Previously, at 4:00 p.m. on August 20, at Tri Le commune (Que Phong), the working group coordinated with Que Phong district police to arrest Kim Van Nhan (born in 1977, residing in Tri Le commune (Que Phong) for possessing wild animals. The seized evidence was 4 bear paws with a total weight of 11 kg. At the investigation agency, the subject confessed that he bought them from 2 Lao men and then stored them waiting for a "good price" to sell.

Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate and handle the subjects in accordance with the provisions of the law.
