Previously, at around 11:30 p.m. on February 23, the Thanh Chuong District Police Task Force and the Vo Liet Commune Police Department were patrolling the Ro Bridge area when they discovered a suspicious subject who had just come out of the Hoang Gia gold and silver kiosk (owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Anh). Upon seeing the task force, the subject immediately ran away. With the help of the masses, the subject was quickly captured after only 40 meters of running.

At the investigation agency, the suspect confessed to being Tran Van Bay (born in 1990, residing in Vo Liet commune). Searching Bay's person, the authorities seized 9 silver necklaces worth nearly 10 million VND, 200 thousand VND in cash and some lock-breaking tools. During an urgent search of Bay's house, Thanh Chuong District Police seized many syringes, lock-breaking tools and 2 swords.

Initially, Tran Van Bay confessed that due to his severe drug addiction and lack of money to buy drugs, he committed 6 thefts in the area, including breaking into the kiosk of Mr. Nguyen Van Xuan (residing in Vo Liet commune) and stealing 26.1 million VND and 5 taels of gold.

With his talent for unlocking, after taking the property, Bay locked the door again and tried to find a way to dispose of the evidence. Thanh Chuong District Police are currently continuing to investigate and expand the case.
