Supporting students in mountainous areas
(Baonghean) - Recently, the program "Step up for ethnic boarding students", coordinated by the Banking Times, the Government Ethnic Committee and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) in Nghe An, presented 1,015 sets of warm blankets to 4 ethnic boarding secondary schools: Quy Chau, Que Phong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son with a total value of 406 million VND.
At Quy Chau Ethnic Boarding School, we witnessed the joy and gratitude of teachers, students and many parents when receiving this meaningful and practical gift.
The school was established only 2 years ago, with 150 students in grades 6 and 7. The facilities are still lacking, but the efforts of the teachers and students here to reach the end of the letter moved all of us.
With local support, the school has allocated funds from teachers' salaries to bring clean water to the school, helping boarding students reduce their hardship.
Here are some of the pictures we captured.
