Improve the quality of oral communication on social insurance and health insurance

In his opening speech, the Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department affirmed that social insurance and health insurance are major social security policies of the Party and State, playing an extremely important role in stabilizing people's lives when they encounter risks, illness, work-related accidents, occupational diseases, and unemployment, helping workers quickly return to normal to stabilize their lives and promote social development.

Social insurance and health insurance are also effective tools for State agencies to act as a bridge to help the community share, support and redistribute national income fairly and reasonably among different classes of people; at the same time, reduce the burden on the State budget for insurance and social security issues.

“Propaganda work in general, and oral propaganda work in particular, on social insurance and health insurance, voluntary social insurance for employers, employees and people to actively participate. There needs to be close coordination and promotion of the roles and responsibilities of agencies, departments and sectors, in which the propaganda force, the health sector and social insurance are the core” - Comrade Kha Van Tam affirmed.

According to a representative of the Nghe An Provincial Department of Health, in 2015, the number of medical examinations and treatments covered by social insurance was 3.832 million. By 2019, this number was 5.150 million, an increase of 34%, equivalent to 1.3 million examinations.

The conference received comments analyzing and clarifying difficulties and obstacles in the work of advising, propagating and disseminating policies and laws on social insurance, health insurance and voluntary social insurance. Many delegates also made recommendations and proposals to relevant levels and sectors such as the Central Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Health and the Provincial Social Insurance to achieve better results in this work in the coming time.

On the same morning, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also held a regular Reporters' Conference for December 2019. Regarding the propaganda orientation for January 2020, comrade Kha Van Tam noted a number of contents that need to be focused on. First of all, the results of the 8th session of the 14th National Assembly; the Provincial People's Council session; propaganda in the fields of socio-economics, national defense - security, Party building and the political system in 2019; focusing on information and propaganda on activities celebrating the Party and celebrating Spring; implementing the topic of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in 2020; preparing for Party Congresses at all levels, Provincial Party Congresses, towards the 13th National Party Congress...
