Improve the quality of teachers and educational administrators

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 11, Anh Son District Party Committee held a conference to summarize 15 years of implementing No. 34 CT/T.TW of the Politburo (VIII term) "on strengthening political and ideological work; consolidating Party organizations, mass organizations and Party member development work in schools" and 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40 CT/T.TW of the Secretariat (IX term) on building and improving the quality of teachers and educational managers.

More than 300 delegates, including leaders of district-level departments, agencies, key leaders of communes and towns, education management staff, and party cell secretaries at schools in the district, attended the conference. Comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, chaired the conference.

Conference overview

After 15 years of implementing Directive 34 and 10 years of implementing Directive 40, with the timely attention and direction of Party committees, authorities and socio-political organizations from the district to the grassroots level, the implementation of the Directive in Anh Son district has achieved many positive results. Especially in the past 5 years, the awareness and responsibility of Party committees at all levels, authorities, organizations and the education sector on the guidelines, policies, tasks and basic objectives of education and training associated with the task of building people with sufficient virtues and talents, loyally and excellently continuing the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation have been significantly improved. The tasks and requirements set out from Directives 34 and 40 include: Political and ideological education, training of revolutionary ethics among teachers, staff and students at schools; building clean and strong school party cells; creating a source for Party development among teachers; perfecting the team of management staff in the education and training sector; the building, training, and fostering of qualifications, expertise, and professional skills for the team of teachers and education management staff in the district according to Directive 40 has achieved many positive results. The professional, political, and management qualifications of the staff of the basic education sector meet the requirements of the new curriculum content and teaching methods; the rate of qualified and above-standard teachers is increasing, making an important contribution to the development of the education career of the district. The whole district currently has 67 schools/67 party cells and 1,229 party members, accounting for 21.5% of the total number of party members in the district. In the past 15 years, 502 new party members have been admitted. The annual classification results show that over 95% of school party cells meet the standards of clean and strong, with no weak party cells.

Before Directive 34, the entire education sector had 19.5% of educational managers with intermediate political science qualifications, 71% of officials with primary political science qualifications, but now the entire sector has 60.56% of managers with intermediate political science qualifications and 30% with primary political science qualifications. There are 129 officials and teachers who have been trained to improve their university qualifications and 405 comrades have been trained post-graduate. In the coming time, Anh Son district will continue to direct the implementation of Directives 34 and Directive 40 in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution 8 of the Central Committee (term XI) on "fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training" to achieve better results.

At the conference, Anh Son district leaders awarded prizes to 11 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in 10 years of implementing Directive 34 and 10 years of implementing Directive 40.
