Improve the quality of activities of the Provincial People's Council and Fatherland Front Committee
(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of January 21, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front of Nghe An held a conference to evaluate the Coordination Regulations between the Provincial People's Council and the Fatherland Front Committee in 2013. Implementing the Coordination Regulations, in 2013, the People's Council and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee had many activities of close and synchronous coordination in all aspects of work according to the functions and tasks of each side, contributing to improving the quality of work of each agency. Notably, the two sides have promoted coordination, contributing to consolidating, expanding and strengthening the great national unity bloc. The two sides have also coordinated to develop a plan for meeting voters before and after each session of the Provincial People's Council as well as fully synthesizing the opinions and recommendations of voters in the province to send to the Provincial People's Committee and concerned sectors and levels for increasingly effective resolution. In particular, the two sides have also coordinated to collect people's opinions on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution to ensure quality. The monitoring and survey activities of the Standing Committee and Committees of the Provincial People's Council have increasingly followed the issues arising in social life through grasping the aspirations of the people of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee system; At the same time, the supervision and surveys of the Provincial People's Council all had members of the Provincial Fatherland Front participating and contributing many important opinions, expressing the will and aspirations of voters as well as accurately reflecting the reality.
At the conference, the two sides also clarified some limitations in coordination work to overcome and improve in 2014. That is to strengthen coordination in disseminating and mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws as well as resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council so that the resolutions have vitality in practice. Continue to coordinate to ensure innovation and improve the quality of voter contact, supervision and survey work of the Provincial People's Council. Further improve coordination in receiving citizens and resolving voters' feedback and recommendations, especially long-standing complaints and denunciations. Pay attention to coordinating the vote of confidence for a number of positions elected by the People's Council.
