Improve the quality of forensic examination activities

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 27, the Steering Committee for implementing the project "Innovation and improvement of the effectiveness of judicial appraisal activities" in the province held a meeting to evaluate the implementation of the project in 2013 and set out the direction of activities in 2014. Comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee chaired.

In 2013, the project "Innovation and improvement of the effectiveness of judicial appraisal activities" was implemented in units, gradually creating changes in judicial appraisal activities in the province. Especially after the Law on Judicial Appraisal took effect, the Provincial People's Committee promptly issued an implementation plan and directed relevant sectors to advise on the implementation of the Law on Judicial Appraisal and related guiding documents. The Provincial Steering Committee has promoted and performed well its role and responsibilities after being assigned tasks by the Provincial People's Committee, organizing regular meetings to develop programs and plans to direct the implementation.

Currently, with 3 forensic organizations and 105 forensic experts in many fields, in the past time, these units have conducted examinations of over 3,000 cases, contributing significantly to verifying the facts to ensure objectivity, accuracy, and basically meeting the time requirements in accordance with the provisions of law. Thereby, meeting the requests of agencies, organizations and individuals in the fight against crime; the forensic conclusions are trusted and accepted by the prosecuting agencies.

In which, the Departments and branches will continue to promote their responsibilities, continue to focus on developing plans to implement the Project, organize the implementation of assigned tasks associated with the functions and tasks of the unit according to regulations; have plans to foster and train professional skills associated with appraisal work to best serve judicial appraisal activities in the province to achieve the highest efficiency.
