(Baonghean.vn) -On August 21, the monitoring delegation of the Culture-Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council led by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council worked with Cua Dong General Hospital and Thanh An General Hospital on health insurance examination and treatment.

Cua Dong General Hospital has a scale of 250 beds, the hospital invests in modern facilities and equipment, upgrades infrastructure with machinery and tools serving medical examination and treatment, and has 296 staff members.

In order to carry out the health insurance examination and treatment work, the Hospital has developed and organized the implementation of the health insurance examination and treatment process according to regulations, applied IT software to the management of health insurance examination and treatment, payment of health insurance costs, and record keeping. The number of health insurance cards registered for health insurance examination and treatment at the hospital in 2011 was 91,736; in 2012 it was 97,114 and in the first 6 months of 2013 it was 46,539 cards.

In the afternoon, the monitoring team worked with Thanh An General Hospital - Saigon. Report on the results of health insurance treatment allocated by the provincial Social Insurance at Thanh An Hospital: 19,150 cards in 2011, 18,300 in 2012 and 17,750 in the first 6 months of 2013, including initial health insurance treatment subjects in Le Loi and Hung Binh wards, and schools located in the 2 wards.

Hospitals recommended to the monitoring team: Request the Ministry of Health to soon classify non-public hospitals so that hospitals can ensure their rights in medical examination and treatment; issue more health insurance cards to hospitals to reduce the burden on public hospitals and avoid waste; health insurance programs under the national target program should be separated; request the Department of Health and provincial Social Insurance to allow district-level hospitals to transfer health insurance patients to private hospitals for treatment.

After checking the records and the actual medical examination and treatment work at the hospitals, on behalf of the monitoring team, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son noted that the units need to fully publicize the prices of medical examination and treatment services; avoid the abuse of technical and paraclinical services; pay attention to building human resources, investing in technical equipment to better serve the medical examination and treatment work for the people. The recommendations and proposals of the hospitals will be compiled by the team and recommended to relevant agencies, departments and sectors for resolution.
