Improve the quality of social insurance services

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of January 24, the Provincial Social Insurance held a conference to summarize the work of 2013 and deploy tasks for 2014. In 2013, the Social Insurance sector basically completed the assigned targets and tasks. By the end of 2013, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance in the whole province was 181,805, an increase of 8,994 people compared to 2012, reaching 102% of the estimate; 17,278 people participating in voluntary social insurance, an increase of 2,351 people compared to 2012, reaching 101.9% of the estimate; 2,096,080 people participating in health insurance, reaching 102.67% of the estimate. The whole sector resolved social insurance and unemployment insurance regimes for 89,037 people, an increase of 7.7% compared to 2012; paid health insurance costs for 3,843 people, an increase of 9.8% compared to 2012. However, social insurance arrears still occur in many localities; The issuance of social insurance books for employees who worked before 1995 or the collection of additional payments to resolve the regime still have many problems; the appraisal of health insurance payments at some medical facilities is still not strict...

Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Dai requested: In 2014, the Social Insurance sector needs to continue to effectively implement the Project "Roadmap towards universal health insurance for the period 2012 - 2015 and 2020"; closely coordinate with departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to effectively implement targets and tasks on social insurance and health insurance according to Resolution No. 99/2013/HDND of the 16th Provincial People's Council - 10th session on tasks in 2014; continue to improve the quality of service for participants and beneficiaries of social insurance regimes, the capacity to manage social insurance funds and health insurance funds, focus on resolving a number of social insurance regimes and policies for officials at all levels before the Party Congress for the term 2015 - 2020 and combating abuse of the health insurance fund.

On this occasion, the provincial Social Insurance collective was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal; 23 employers and 17 individuals outside the industry were awarded certificates of merit by the General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance.
