(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 27, in Hue City, Thua Thien - Hue Newspaper opened the 4th Conference of Party Newspapers of provinces and cities in the Central - Central Highlands region (round IV) with the theme "Propaganda for Party building in the new situation".

Attending the workshop on the side of Thua Thien - Hue province were comrade Nguyen Ngoc Thien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. On the side of the Central Government, there were comrade Pham Quoc Toan - Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, representatives of the Press Department, Central Propaganda Department, Department of Press & Publishing (Ministry of Information & Communications; representatives of Party newspapers of 18 provinces in the region and newspapers of Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh and Dong Thap attended.

Attending the workshop, comrade Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Secretary of the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Party Committee, delivered an opening speech. Appreciating the practical significance of the Thua Thien - Hue Newspaper choosing the theme to host the workshop of Party newspapers in the region this time, the Provincial Party Secretary recently focused on promoting the Hue Festival 2014 and promoting cultural and tourism events. Regarding the work of propagating Party building in the newspaper, this is an extremely important and urgent content. Along with encouraging new role models and educating the people about political ideology, the propaganda of Party building must contribute to effectively combating the signs of ideological, political and moral degradation, refuting the destructive arguments of hostile forces...

At the workshop, the introductory report of Thua Thien - Hue Newspaper, in addition to presenting the organization of propaganda for the Party building page of its own newspaper, also reviewed some experiences in organizing and expressing good and useful Party building propaganda of some other newspapers such as: the experience of propagating "5 constructions, 3 anti" of Da Nang Newspaper; the skillful combination of the two approaches "construction - anti, direct - indirect" of Kon Tum Newspaper, etc. In addition, newspapers from Binh Thuan, Thanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dac Lac, Ha Tinh... had presentations presenting some lessons and practical experiences in their units; at the same time, there were some proposals to discuss and share with other newspapers.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Pham Quoc Toan, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, acknowledged the efforts of the host unit and regional party newspapers in promoting party building. Sharing the difficulties when local party newspapers report on this field, he said that in order for party building information to be attractive and widespread, party agencies and committees need to provide full information that people and public opinion are interested in; newspapers need to take advantage of the leadership, direction and support of the Standing Committee and Standing Committee of Party Committees in publicizing and making transparent issues related to party work...
