Improving public ethics of civil servants and public employees

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 12, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the Regulations on commendation and disciplinary action against civil servants and public employees in receiving and handling administrative records of organizations and individuals; the plan to organize online feedback on the satisfaction level of organizations and individuals with the provision of public administrative services by administrative agencies in the province. Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee chaired. Attending were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, and Vinh City People's Committee.

At the conference, opinions were unanimous that in recent times, the reception, processing and resolution of work by state agencies, civil servants and public employees for organizations and citizens has been getting better and better. However, in reality, there are still a number of civil servants and public employees who lack a sense of responsibility, have inappropriate attitudes and behaviors, and are still harassing and causing difficulties for organizations and citizens; processing work is still slower than the prescribed time. The Government has provided regulations on rewarding civil servants and public employees with achievements and disciplining civil servants and public employees who violate regulations, but there are currently no specific regulations on rewarding and disciplining civil servants and public employees in receiving and processing administrative records...

The conference also agreed to collect opinions on implementing the campaign "Cadres, civil servants and public employees in the province actively participate in administrative procedure reform, improve the quality of service to people, organizations and enterprises" in the period of 2013-2015, in order to promote the pioneering role, volunteerism, dynamism and creativity of the team of civil servants and public employees in participating in administrative procedure reform, improving the quality of work settlement of state agencies to serve people, organizations and enterprises better and better, at the same time improving and enhancing the provincial competitiveness index.

After listening to the opinions of the delegates, concluding the conference, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that administrative procedure reform is a key task and a breakthrough of the province, so the Departments and branches need to focus on improving the effectiveness of emulation work, enhancing responsibility, improving the ethics of civil servants and public employees, creating a legal corridor for rewarding and disciplining civil servants and public employees. Focus on collecting opinions on the satisfaction level of organizations and citizens with the provision of public administrative services under the jurisdiction of administrative agencies in the province and sending them to the Department of Home Affairs for synthesis and submission to the Provincial People's Committee in the coming time.
