Increase the value of agricultural production
(Baonghean) - The area of agricultural land is shrinking, the proportion of agriculture - forestry - fishery is decreasing in the economic structure. What to do to increase economic value per unit area in such a context is the concern of the leaders and people of Hung Loc commune (Vinh city). The pilot models in recent times are new directions to build a sustainable suburban agriculture.
Although the mushroom production in My Ha hamlet has just started, the initial success with 3 main types: oyster mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms and lingzhi mushrooms invested by ATC Natural Essential Oil Joint Stock Company with the support of the city has given positive results. Visiting the production facility on this occasion, we can see the enthusiasm and excitement of the investor as well as the workers when the mushroom bags begin to produce products that meet quality standards. Each string of bags is arranged scientifically. The plump, full mushroom buds begin to sprout on each bag, looking very eye-catching. Mr. Bui Tuan Anh, Director of the Company, said that every 3 days, oyster mushrooms and wood ear mushrooms are harvested once. The 3 types of products at the production facility are currently assessed to ensure productivity and quality.

Going into production since October 2014, but with a thorough investment, ATC Natural Essential Oil Joint Stock Company has shown sustainability in mushroom growing. On the area rented by the enterprise of 2,500m2, the investor has now arranged production of 1,000m2 including the packaging selection area, drying oven, incubation house and mushroom production area. Currently, the facility has 13,000 bags of mushrooms: According to the owner's preliminary calculation, the investment efficiency, on each of these products, is as follows: wood ear mushroom minus costs, profit of 800 - 1,000 VND/bag, oyster mushroom about 1,300 VND/bag and lingzhi mushroom profit of about 1,100 VND/bag.
Currently, in addition to producing mushrooms on site, ATC also cooperates, provides seeds, provides technical guidance and purchases all products from 6 households (each household grows 2,000 bags), producing 2 types of oyster mushrooms and wood ear mushrooms. Mr. Bui Tuan Anh added: "This year we continue to invest in the area of processing refined products to close the production chain, increase production efficiency, and gradually increase the purchase price to encourage people to participate."
In addition to mushroom production, in order to implement the orientation of developing sustainable and effective suburban agriculture, in 2014, with the support of the city, Hung Loc commune also built a model of vegetable production in greenhouses on an area of 2,600m2 in My Thuong hamlet. Here, 3 households participated in growing on an area of about 750m2 with vegetables such as cabbage, beans, squash, cauliflower... Ms. Hoang Thi Dung, head of the greenhouse vegetable growing team, said: "Last year we grew 3 crops, each crop brought in an income of over 10 million VND. Compared with vegetables grown in the same type outside, growing in greenhouses is 4-5 times more effective. We will visit some effective models in other localities to adjust varieties, seasons and techniques more reasonably and effectively.

In addition to some effective clean agricultural production models, aquaculture has also brought high economic value to Hung Loc in recent years. In the planned aquaculture area of 30 hectares including 3 zones, production has stabilized with 18 households participating in specializing in raising commercial fish, fingerlings, ornamental fish, poultry in the form of a comprehensive farm... In addition to creating income value for low-lying, flooded, and barren lands, the aquaculture area also creates a space to regulate the climate and environment, which is very necessary for Vinh City. The political report on the implementation of the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2010-2015 term shows that the average agricultural production value reached 44 million VND/ha (Congress Resolution 40.5 million VND/ha) and the target set for the next term is that agricultural production will reach an average value of 45-50 million VND/ha, the proportion will decrease from 9.8% to 6% in the economic structure.
However, the difficulty that Hung Loc commune must overcome is that according to Vinh City's planning, the entire area 1 and area 2 are basically in the planning for the construction of ecological regulating lakes, so the remaining areas require the commune to continue to review to direct farming to bring high economic value to the people. Comrade Nguyen Huu Son, Vice Chairman of Hung Loc Commune People's Committee said: "Building an agricultural economy in the direction of green, clean, sustainable has been implemented by the commune in this term, in the coming time the commune will re-evaluate specific and effective models for replication. On the basis of promoting the application of science and technology, increasing productivity and value while the proportion of agricultural - forestry - fishery production decreases. This is a challenge that requires the Party Committee, government and people of the commune to strive to rise up".
