Improving the effectiveness of coordination in crime prevention and control in the field of social insurance

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 14, Nghe An Social Insurance, Economic Police Department, Provincial Police and Nghe An Women's Union deployed the work program for the last 6 months of 2016 and signed a cooperation program. Attending the conference were leaders of agencies and units.

In the first 6 months of 2016, the coordination between the two sectors has helped the implementation of legal policies on labor, employment, social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance achieve many positive results; contributing to improving work efficiency, preventing crimes and violations of the law in the fields of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, ensuring the implementation of state policies.

However, violations of the laws on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance, including dangerous crimes, are increasing in both number and severity.

By the end of June 2016, the total debt of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the whole province was more than 192 billion VND; the cost of health insurance examination and treatment at many medical facilities increased (up 64% compared to the same period in 2015).

At the conference, the two units of the provincial Social Insurance and the Economic Police Department deployed their tasks for the last 6 months of the year. Accordingly, they coordinated to prevent and combat violations of the laws on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the field of payment and benefits; coordinated to prevent and combat individuals and organizations that profit from insurance funds; protected the assets of the State, collectives, individuals, and the legitimate rights and interests of insurance agencies at all levels... In particular, they emphasized the specific roles and tasks of each unit to more effectively carry out coordination work.
