Since the beginning of the year, the Party Delegation - Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front has focused on performing well the following tasks: Organizing propaganda for major events and campaigns during the Lunar New Year, organizing a Happy New Year for the poor; coordinating with functional departments and agencies to educate and communicate on evaluating the implementation of crime prevention programs, maintaining security and order, ensuring traffic safety; coordinating with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to review the implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services; launching emulation movements, evaluating the coordination regulations with the National Assembly Delegation, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee; promoting the dissemination of the Politburo's Decisions on "Regulations on supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations"; coordinating surveys of the political system to grasp the situation of ethnic groups, religions, etc.

Regarding the organization of the Fatherland Front congresses at all levels, by February 15, 2014, the commune-level Fatherland Front congress was completed, 15 days ahead of schedule; at the district level, 100% of units approved the content and 20/21 units completed the congress, of which 3 pilot units completed in February (Vinh City plans to hold the congress on April 22). In general, the district-level Fatherland Front congress results met the requirements, were on schedule, and after the congress, the personnel were completed. Currently, the Provincial Fatherland Front Party Delegation is actively preparing for the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress (scheduled to be held from June 12-14, 2014).

At the meeting, the representative of the Provincial Fatherland Front Party Committee presented the Project to consolidate and perfect the organization, staffing, and working positions of civil servants of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee from now until 2016, notably proposing to increase the allowance for the head of the front work committee of the block, hamlet, and village; supplementing them ensures that the provincial Fatherland Front has 5 full-time Vice Chairmen according to regulations, supporting the chairmen of the commune-level Fatherland Front who are not old enough to be re-elected but have not paid social insurance for enough years... In an open spirit, the delegates spoke about the difficulties in the current work of the Front, especially in the religious and mountainous areas. In addition, due to the incomplete mechanism and regulations on coordination of activities and social criticism between the Fatherland Front and political organizations, provincial and district-level departments and branches, implementation is still difficult and problematic....

Concluding the working session, the Provincial Party Secretary agreed with the contents and issues raised by the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and made recommendations. Regarding the upcoming orientation, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that the Provincial Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front should closely coordinate with departments, branches and districts in consulting and handling issues related to the work of the Front; limit the administrative situation in the Front agencies and political organizations, social organizations; closely follow the implementation of assigned tasks; focus on preparing for the successful congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The program and direction of tasks need to be consistent with the aspirations of the people and the development strategy of the province; well organize the dissemination of the amended Constitution and the Politburo's Regulations on supervision, consultation, comments and social criticism; urge units to deposit money to support the Fund for the Poor; continue to promote and diversify forms of mobilizing funds for the poor and other charity funds; enhance the ability to gather and mobilize the masses, especially in religious areas; well implement Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An and Resolution of the Central Committee 8 (term XI); build cooperative relationships with provinces and cities of other countries; consolidate the apparatus, improve the capacity and qualifications of the front staff, especially young staff newly assigned; coordinate with the Provincial Political School to train staff doing front work.../.
