Improving management capacity for gender equality work in 2015
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 25, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the Provincial Civil Servants' Union to organize a training course on Improving State Management Capacity on Gender Equality for civil servants and public employees in 2015.

During the 1-day course, the trainees, who are leaders of grassroots trade unions, women's unions and women's union leaders, were introduced by the lecturers to some basic contents about gender, gender equality in the fields of politics, economics, science and technology, etc. Gender issues in education-training policies and sustainable employment; about the work of mobilizing female civil servants and public employees in the new situation.

Currently, the issue of gender equality has not been properly recognized. Therefore, the training course will provide basic contents related to the law on gender equality; the National Target Program on Gender Equality in the province for the period 2011-2015. At the same time, raise awareness and understanding for union officials about the national strategy on gender equality and the role and responsibility of unions in propagating and mobilizing officials, civil servants, public employees and workers to ensure gender equality in agencies and units.
Participating in the training course were leaders of grassroots trade unions, women's unions and women's union leaders of 44 grassroots trade unions. |
Participating in the training course is also an opportunity for trainees to exchange and discuss in order to propose measures to help improve the effectiveness of gender equality activities and gender equality propaganda in the coming time.
