Raising awareness of gender equality in integration and development
(Baonghean.vn) - The training conference aims to update information and knowledge on gender equality to help delegates better promote their roles and responsibilities in advising and implementing gender mainstreaming in programs, policies and socio-economic development plans of localities and units.
On the morning of October 18, in Vinh City, the Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women held a training conference to raise awareness aboutgender equalityin integration and development for more than 100 delegates who are officials of the Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women, departments, branches, some localities and universities, colleges and vocational schools.
At the training conference, delegates listened to the presentation of topics on some basic contents on gender and gender equality; policies and laws on gender equality to ensure social security for people in general and women and children in particular.
Delegates also shared knowledge and skills on gender mainstreaming in national target programs; gender equality issues in integration and development.
The training course aims to update and provide information and knowledge on gender equality, helping delegates better promote their roles and responsibilities in advising and implementing gender mainstreaming in programs, policies and socio-economic development plans of localities and units, contributing to the effective implementation of gender equality work in the province in the coming time.
