Mr. Phan The Thang - Deputy Head of Consumer Rights Protection Department, Competition Management Department warned that the situation of violations of consumer rights protection laws is becoming more complicated. |
According to Mr. Phan The Thang - Deputy Head of the Department of Consumer Rights Protection, the Competition Management Department has warned about the situation of violations of consumer rights protection laws that are becoming more and more complicated and sophisticated, such as frozen shrimp injected with impurities in the market, trading in fake functional foods, etc.
Meanwhile, consumers’ awareness of their own rights is still inadequate, and has not created the strength to force dishonest businesses to voluntarily fulfill their obligations to consumers. Consumers are also not aware of their responsibility to protect their own rights, such as buying goods without getting invoices, not checking labels, origins, instructions for use, and being afraid to complain or sue.
The issues discussed at the conference are practical contents to bring awareness and correct actions to Vietnamese businesses and consumers about legitimate defense measures.
